2014 Budget
Budget 2014 will be announced on Tuesday 15 October 2013.

Referendum on the Abolition of the Seanad
The Abolition of Seanad Eireann, the Thirty-Second Amendment of the Constitution Bill 2013, is a proposed amendment to the Constitution of Ireland which proposes to abolish Seanan Eireann, the upper house of the Oirecahtas.

The bill completed its passage through the houses of the Oireachtas on the 23rd of July 2013 and will be put to a referendum on the 4th of October 2013. If approved by the electorate, the Seanad will cease to exist after the next Irish general election, leaving Dail Eireann as the sole house of the unicameral Oireachtas.

Public Meeting on the Seanad Referendum
All are welcome to attend a public meeting at 8pm at the Goat, in Goatstown on Thursday Sept. 26th. At the meeting Alex White TD will be joined by the academic and journalist Kevin Rafter to discuss the forthcoming referendum on the abolition of the Seanad.

Please come along and share your views.

Referendum on European Stability Treaty

The referendum on the Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance in the Economic and Monetary Union will take place on Thursday 31 May.

The Government also decided on the wording of the proposed amendment to the Constitution, which was prepared by the Attorney General. The Irish people are being asked to ratify the Treaty and to enable the Oireachtas to adopt any legislation in order to implement the Treaty.

The Bill to amend the Constitution is now being prepared for publication towards the end of this week.
